| I desperately need a workout. Mostly for my soul. I've been too emotionally weak. Tomorrow I want to hit the gym. The weather, again, is horrible. | |

| X and O to you HTR.
I started some strength training this week. My glutes were talking to me today! 4.75 miles. Weather here is supposed to improve this week. It's been 10-20 degrees below avg for a week or two. Enough! My bike is just sitting there! I don't enjoy riding under 60 degrees.

| Bloomsday 12k yesterday. 60° at start, 68° when I checked after crossing the finish line. And with the full sun shining on us it felt even hotter. My time, 1:07:39, a 14 second PR. | |

| ^ I'm jealous of AR and PO. Just couldn't get the mindset for a workout. No appetite either. I guess lack of energy is because of both. | |

| No miles, or anything else workout-related to report since Sunday. Monday was taken up entirely with air and car travel, and I'm still trying to recover from that. Running a race is easier to recover from than cross-country travel. | |

| First workout since dad passed. I feel great. Hard workout for 2 hours and good relaxing stretching for a 1/2 hour. | |

| Yeah, HTR. I ran 4.75 miles of hilly local roads this morning. Then the real work started. We finished planting the vegetable garden. Squat, reach, bed, stretch, rake, repeat.... Finished the day with a wonderful roast beef, carrots, potatoes, salad, and watermelon. My oldest daughter, her hubs, and nearly 3 y/o grandson shared dinner and outdoor play time. I'm tired! | |

2 hours - holy frijoles! I'll have to take cross-training credit for mowing the lawn to get up to 1.5 hours.

| It was pouring at 6:00 this morning and I had written off the day. But it cleared up around 9:00, so I drove to the local rail-trail and put in 4 miles. Tomorrow will be a day off. | |

I appreciate the freedom to go in and out without all the layers. Not to mention the hope that new growth brings.

| A dailies thread? It's just like RW - at least one dailies thread in every forum!

| 5.8 miles, which is twice around my block. This route is usually 5.9, but I walked back up the driveway pulling the empty garbage can. | |

| 9.25 slow miles in the stinkin' heat and humidity. I know, I complain when it's cold, too. I'm an equal opportunity weather complainer. | |
