Week 23–29 May. What's happening?

Opening the pool for the season and starting to clear out bedroom #3 for repainting and laying hardwood flooring. (remind me again, why did we think a pool would be a good idea when we were house-hunting?)

I have to go fabric shopping for a baby girl quilt. It took my daughter like 4 hours from finding out it is a girl to picking out a pattern. I also need to make GS#2 a big boy bed quilt. So fabric shopping this week. work should ease up, my co-worker who was off for 8 weeks, post surgery, returned on Monday!!!!! so glad to give her back her clients. phew. I work 5 days this week, but then a 3 day weekend. Also need to plan a sick day. I told myself to use at least one a month for the next year. I have over 1200 hours of sick leave on the books. "it isn't a benefit if you don't use it" I need to live by my own words. pretty normal week for me. Looking forward to the upcoming weekend.

Congratulations on your upcoming granddaughter! How many will that make for you?

she will be #3. I have two grandsons oldest turns 3 in August, the other (Big brother of new baby) turns 3 in November. This is the first girl. Let the PINK explosion begin! I raised two girls, so the grandsons were a welcome surprise. IMHO, world's best invention, is Grandkids. spoil, return, repeat...

I am driving to Reno tomorrow. This trip by myself so maybe I will do a little gambling while I'm in town.

I'm trying to find a dog friendly place over on the coast for this weekend. Not easy when you have (2) 60 pound dogs. Most places won't take them at all, some will allow one, or they have weight restrictions. We need to fins a rental we like and develop a relationship with the owner.

My congrats too, AR! I have one grandson, age 3. I try to enjoy him without spoiling him, although his parents might disagree.
