Bugs, spiders, bats, snakes, heights, public speaking. All good
For me it's air travel. Possibly the least rational fear. I do travel by plane if needed but hate it, can't sleep or relax. Being trapped in a metal tube 6 miles above sea level is tough for me. Rational part of my head tells me that thousands of commercial jets safely take off and land every day with almost zero incident. Crazy part of me says I'm stuck in a aluminum tube 6 miles above ground traveling at 500 mph with a pilot I have never met in a 20 year old piece of equipment that has more miles than every car I have ever owned combined multiplied many times over.
What scares you?

Definitely spiders. They creep the hell out of me.

I'm right there with you BIS. I HATE flying! I am definitely clostrophibic too. I can't even walk in a forest without feeling like I'm in an enclosed space. I think living in the desert is what made me like open spaces. I used to be afraid of heights, but my hiking/mountain climbing has kind of cured me of that one.

Heights only if I'm on a ladder, or jumping off the Jaws bridge in Martha's Vineyard. The CN Tower in Toronto glass floor at the top was tough walking across especially when little kids keep running by.

Heights. I have to stay far back from any edge with a significant drop.

Bis I wouldn't have made it far watching that. Ironically I can go on roller coasters and my favorite ride ever is Tower of Terror

I don't like snakes or spiders, but can't say I have a phobia about them. Flying had long ceased to be an adventure and I'd rather drive, but we do fly several times a year (like right now!).
Heights, that's the one. Never used to bother me, but now it does. Walking across the glass floor in the CN Tower I nearly got sick.

Those who fear spiders probably would have freaked out seeing this. It was on our back patio. I almost stepped on it barefoot. I trapped it and released it out away from homes.
Riding while we drive the Dan Ryan through Chicago. I get nauseous. Riding in a car DOWN mountains. Again... Foot through the floor. Nauseous. Heights, are ok. Sears tower. AKA Willis Tower.

No. Just No! The picture is bad enough. Real life visit to that? Oh, God no!
