The Biggest Loser drives me nuts.
They weigh people to the pound, than calculate weight loss percentage to the 100th place.
Sorry, no. You don't gain accuracy because you use a calculator. Whatever the precision of your measurement, your calculations can't get more precise.
Besides - if they actually measured weight to the 10th or 100th of a pound, who is above or below the yellow line would undoubtedly change in some of their really close contests, so they sometimes send the wrong person home. Booo.
Anyone who is working out as much as the contestants claim to would have constant 5-10 pound weight swings as they sweated it out or rehydrated so winning and losing by fractions of a pound is really a silly message.
