Is there such a thing? If so, I'd love to know.

I also want non-processed peanut butter, but not organic.

I searched for it on Amazon and my local grocery store only has organic.

For the cheapest 16 oz I paid $11 on sale today.

Do you have Aldi's out there? Our Aldi's sells Almond butter reasonable. I wouldn't swear, but I think it's about 6.99 for 16 oz.

I have tried to make my own. It was edible, but I haven't tried it again. So not that great. I used an online video to do it. We eat grocery store peanut butter, so I have nothing to offer on that.

I profess ignorance on this. What is the difference between organic and non organic nuts? Are nuts now bioengineered like corn and other produce? It wouldn't surprise me I guess.

I used to get both almond and peanut butter from a local store that ground the nuts on the spot into butter. So tasty.

There are stores, Whole Foods and Fresh Market come to mind, that let you grind nuts into paste right there. We have almost, cashew and peanut butter that we grind at Whole Foods and IIRC, the nuts are not organic.

Yes I do. One just opened up. Thanks.

Good point. Also, correct me if I'm wrong.
Why would something in a shell need to be organic? As in pesticides.

Are the nuts expensive in Whole Foods?

Had to ask DW. Smile She said no.

FYI. The Almond Butter at Aldi's is organic. Still can't remember if it is 5.99 or 6.99.
