I don't know if everyone saw in my update that I'm currently studying to take the test to be a part of our county's Search and Rescue Team. This Saturday they are having a training with the Civil Air Patrol to locate a downed "plane." It will be my first mock training session. I'm nervous. I'm feeling like I'm out of my league and not ready to train alongside the professionals.
Have ya'll ever done something you don't know that your ready for and were nervous about?

The first time I went through the ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) course it was new and the testing scenarios were very intense. I was shaky nervous. It was Tough! Some of the participants were near tears when their 'patient' died. There were about 150 physicians taking the course; I was the only dentist. More than half the class failed, I passed. That was thirty years ago and the course was a lot different, it isn't near as intense now and not many fail.

Making it worse was it was required to maintain certain privileges (for instance working in the hospital ER, which I did). Failing really wasn't an option.
