Week ahead for Oct 10th

Normal work week. I don't get off today like a lot of people. I've been challenged to attend a Cardio Pump class tomorrow morning at 5:45. I just don't know if I can handle working out that early then getting ready for work in time. We'll see though.

That's early for any activity but trying to find the coffeemaker.

I'm having a full house for the Runners' World festival this weekend. The extended family has 2 entries in the 10K and 4 in the 5K. With various others included, there will be 14 for dinner Friday and Saturday. Fortunately, my daughter loves to cook for groups!

Today off from work with a 4;30 hot yoga class.

The other highlight of the week is Wednesday with a massage.

Only working today and tomorrow. Taking the rest of the week to head up to the Traverse City area and do some leaf peeping and wine drinking.

I am glad to report I have nothing going on this week! Phew. Back to work tomorrow. Ihave been off for nearly an entire week welcoming a new grand baby, watching grandson, helping step son move, nephews wedding. I plan to get back into routine this week. Finalizing some details for an upcoming trip and making sure we have all our paperwork printed, etc.

Anotherrun - I'm near Port Huron.

We have a new granddaughter - just born on the 28th of September. We haven't seen her yet. She had to stay in the hospital for a week with an infection, and my husband and I were getting over the crud that's been going around.

Congratulations on the new GD, Peachy!

I spent most of Sunday and all yesterday removing plywood paneling from the living room, and replacing it with drywall. That will be all of the remodeling for this week; hope it doesn't undo my training for the HM this Sunday. Between now and Sunday I will be taking it easy.

Many family entries in this morning's Runner's World races. Sunny and a bit chilly at the start of the 5K, but it had warmed to about 40 degrees by the start of the 10K.

Sister-in-law won her 5K age group, out of 11 runners.
Son-in-law took 2nd of 68 runners in his 5K age group.
Brother took 4th of 31 runners in his 10K age group, his daughter took 11th of 122 runners in her 5K age group, her boyfriend boyfriend was 52nd of 76 in his 5K age group.
I won my 10K age group, out of 19 runners. Missed my time goal of 49:59 by a full minute and barely managed a 68 age-grading instead of my goal of 70. Of critical importance, I beat my brother.

A tiring but good time was had by all!
