It's almost here, what are your plans?

Mine? Gardening, Mother's Day outing, resting if I can work it in.

I'd hoped to run in an annual cross-country 5K race on Saturday, but it looks like rain. I suppose I will catch up on my sleep, which has been in short supply lately. My father - who had been in an assisted living place 20 minutes away from me for the last year and a half - took a turn for the worse on Monday and died Wednesday night, so there are relatives visiting, funeral home arrangements to be made, etc.
RIP.

As far as my plans: Tonight nothing. Probably just clean the house. Might got see the new Captain America movie. Tomorrow going on a sunset hike. It's gonna be a tough climb up, but I heard watching the sunset and seeing the city lights from the top of this mountain is breathtaking! So I'm gonna go for it and hopefully I won't die on the way down.
Sunday just church and being pampered by my kids. Wink

Very sorry, Nazaretti. Hope the family coming together helps ease the pain, and that there lots of good memories of your father to share.

I was going to go for a run tomorrow with a promising forecast of sun and no rain. Now, the weather is rain for Saturday and Sunday. I am going to hit the gym, a desperately needed workout for the mind.

I'm staying over my mom's house on Saturday night and all day with her on Sunday. It's tough for her to live in the house with all of the memories of my dad. But, that's where she wants to live and we will grant her wishes as we did my dad's.

Thanks, RSX. I hope to get back to running today, it seems to provide a stable point from which to start rebuilding after a tough few months.

I'm thinking a 40 mile bike ride is in order. Just as soon as I have a little more coffee.

I could not say it any better. Today will be the first day since my dad's passing. I can't wait to cleanse the stress out out.

I ran only 3 miles this morning, but feel much better for it.
